The branch was setup in 2004 and has a membership of just over 50.
The branch prides itself on its friendly and informal atmosphere. A speaker is booked for most meetings, with tea and biscuits, quizzes and raffles taking place alongside the sale of books, jigsaws and plants.
The branch also undertakes other activities, such as ten pin bowling, petanque, lunches, outings, walks and visits, often by coach, to local places of interest and beyond.
