If you reduce your hours, your pensionable pay will reduce. The pension you build up each year will be less. Your pension built up to the point of the reduction will not change.

If you paid into the scheme before 1 April 2014, a reduction in hours will not affect the calculation of your benefits up to 31 March 2014. Flexible retirement
